Matahari @ TIRAI 2025

TIRAI is back, join us in celebrating our students’ achievements.

This year we are presenting “Matahari”. Featuring over 100 students from our Artspire programme, a 1-year long sponsored programme for children and teenagers.

Matahari is the final production for our Artspire performing arts students, an in-house production written and directed by Arsyad Azrai, our Head of Creative Programmes and Maisyarah Mazlan the educator of Artspire Theatre programme.

It tells the story of Hari, a teenage girl yearning to reconnect with her father. Equipped with a pair of binoculars, she searches to reclaim what was once hers. Matahari is a tale of discovering happiness even in the darkest moments, a reminder that everyone deserves a chance at joy.

The production is presented in English and features students from Theatre, Gamelan, Angklung, 24 Festive Drums, Malay Dance, Chinese Dance, Indian Dance, Tari Silat, and Choir. A final performance and a celebration of the journey of our 2024/25 cohort.
